An early pilot · A community project
QADIYA is an independent, noncommercial community project: an archive of Palestine’s history, built for the cause and open to everyone.
This is an early pilot. Its records were gathered with AI help from cited sources and are still being checked, so don’t rely on them yet, and tell us if something is wrong.
We’re looking for people and organisations to build it with us: historians, archivists, translators, designers, developers, and partners who can support the work.

Born in Nablus in 1917, she was taken out of school after five years and kept at home; her brother Ibrahim taught her to write poetry and took her to live with him in Jerusalem, and her poems, first sent under pen names, appeared in literary magazines in Cairo and Beirut. After the deaths of Ibrahim and her father and the Nakba of 1948 she took part in the political life of the 1950s, and joined the Cultural Club founded in Nablus in 1956. She died in Nablus on 12 December 2003.
