Olive-wood carving

A craft of Bethlehem said to have been taught by monks around the time the Church of the Nativity was built: first rosaries from olive pits, then the nativity scenes known worldwide, and candleholders, boxes and modern pieces, made in workshops along Milk Grotto Street.
