The date palm: its knowledge, skills and customs

The knowledge, skills and customs around the date palm: caring for and cultivating the tree, using its leaves, fronds and fibres in crafts and social rituals, and its place in food, poetry and song; communities and public bodies keep and spread its cultivation. UNESCO inscribed the element in 2022 on the joint nomination of fifteen Arab states, the State of Palestine among them.
