An early pilot · A community project
QADIYA is an independent, noncommercial community project: an archive of Palestine’s history, built for the cause and open to everyone.
This is an early pilot. Its records were gathered with AI help from cited sources and are still being checked, so don’t rely on them yet, and tell us if something is wrong.
We’re looking for people and organisations to build it with us: historians, archivists, translators, designers, developers, and partners who can support the work.

Qibya
On 14–15 October 1953 Israeli armed forces attacked Qibya, a West Bank village then under Jordanian rule, in a retaliatory raid that the UN Security Council censured in the strongest terms.
Linked context in the legacy record
In its resolution 101 of 24 November 1953 the Security Council found that the retaliatory action at Qibya taken by armed forces of Israel on 14–15 October 1953 violated the cease-fire provisions of its resolution 54 (1948) and was inconsistent with the General Armistice Agreement between Israel and Jordan and with the Charter. It expressed the strongest censure of that action, and called on Israel to take effective measures to prevent all such actions in future.
